More Fun in AZ

Cooling off with some popsicles on a hot summer day
look out, it's Superman!!
the boys are hard at work putting the umbrella down
Keegan thought closing himself up in it would help
this was too good of a pose to pass up
I know it's hard to believe, but it is freezing when you get out of the pool!!
We went to an indoor play area - it's way too hot to be outside much during the day - Keegan, of course, decided to spend some time reading while we were there
and he made some new friends
We ate lunch at Chic-Fill-A so the boys could play in the play area.... .....it was a nice place and they had a lot of funThe boys had a blast eating dinner at the Rainforest Cafe Saturday nightKeegan is still talking about the alligator they saw
we sat right next to the elephants
The boys had a great time and enjoyed walking around looking at all of the "animals"
The fish and aquariums were really neat, too
This quickly became one of Keegan's favorite books while we were here - we read it several times a day
AJ and Keegan thought Andy needed some help with the pool chemicals

swimming can really tire a boy out
Andy was so great and offered to keep the boys Saturday afternoon so Hollie and I could have some girl time - it was nice to get out for a few hours without our little men - we came back to a fort in the living room - the boys had a blast!!

Keegan and Hollie swimming on the noodles
AJ cheesing it up on his own set of noodles
I'm pretty sure the water adds 50 lbs so I figured it was ok to post this picture
Future ladies man
The boys took turns being thrown into the air - not sure Andy had as much fun as they did, though

The mall has this neat little play area - it was nice and cool and the boys had a great time
"you're supposed to go the other way, Keegan"
"Cheese!"
This was the best pic we could get of the 2 of them together - at least they're both looking in the general direction of the camera
The fountain "danced" around - it was pretty neat and felt great if you got splashed! And, no, Keegan didn't push A.J. in - but, I'm sure he thought about it. ;)

Trip to Arizona

Keegan and I are taking a mother/son vacation to visit our good friends the Davis' in Chandler, AZ - it is HOT!!!!!! But, there is no humidity, so I'm still able to get some sun. :) We are having a great time out here in the desert! Keep in mind this is my first attempt at a blog so I apologize for the jumbled mess below - I'll get it figured out eventually........

We went to Toddler Time at the library - the boys enjoyed story time

Time for making music and dancing!

"Houston, we have a problem"

Everyone loved the amazing bubbles that don't pop!

A.J. and Keegan kicked off the visit with a little wrestling - boys will be boys

A.J. is down for the count.....

...but bounces back to take Keegan out too
The boys are really enjoying have constant playmates - from wrestling, to firefighters, to playing soccer

Keegan was sooooo excited to go swimming - we had to strip down and get in - he's going to love this picture someday!!

"Which way to the gym, ladies?"

More swimming pool fun - Keegan loves to get underneath the waterfall - Daddy might have to look into putting one of these in our yard - Keegan is having a blast!!! :)

Mission Trip

I just got back from going on a mission trip to Benton, TN with our youth group. We conducted vbs 4 nights at a small church in the mountains, did some service projects at the camp we stayed at, went on a prayer walk, and did "beach reach" ministry one day. We even found time to hike to a waterfall and go white water rafting one day. We had a super time but I was exhausted by the time we got home. I don't have many pictures of our week because my camera ran out of batteries - I'm hoping to get some from the others and post those soon. It is a whirlwind of trips for me - getting to cross over 3 time zones in just a few days and unloading my suitcase to wash the clothes and put them right back in the suitcase as Keegan and I prepare for our trip to Arizona - yikes!!!!
The girls on the "party bus"

Don't be fooled - they only look sweet and innocent :)

The boys thought it would be fun to hide 2 cans of opened sardines underneath all of the luggage - we had to identify and locate the fishy odor - good times!!!

Girls just wanna have fun!

We had to take the ferry from IL to KY on our way to the camp - I'd never ridden on a ferry in the car before - what an adventure! :)
It was a actually pretty on the short ride to the other side
One of the views of the Appalachians - beautiful!!
Up to no good.....
Our faithful and fearless leader - keep your eyes on the road Terry!!!
